As a recent victim of Glass work could I suggest a NO! balsa is a fantastic to make blades out of, I tried to make a mould of my balsa blade with GRP and it all got horribly messy and dificult. I eventually had a pair of molds, but they were dificult to fill correctly and when I joined the pair it all became one mass of sticky-never-be-parted muck. I went back to pine and it's a joy to work with. With a piece of heavy grade emmery papers on my drill's sanding pad it's a dream to work with. All my blades are accurate pitched correctly and look stunning if I do say so myself. Just my advice Good luck let us know how you get on. M
