  You can also blow a rat in the pipe . Greenlee makes a vacuum especially for that chore .   they sell foam rats to blow or suck in . A regular  task  in site work.  the pulls are 1000s of feet in 100 to 150' sub pulls . Jet line in behind the rat . It's good to put some pressure on one end and vacuumed on the other to get the water out.
 make sure you use pvc or ridged pipe with the coupling air tight . a good way to make a rat is to take urethane foam and make small ball with a tail and wrap it with plastic and tie on well and tape it so ti won't snag
