Honda is actually not a very big player in solar yet.  They are talking about putting a 20 or 30MW plant in, from what I have heard.  This is tiny in today's solar industry.  Sharp is the big one, with over 600MW planned for this year (total world market estimated to be 2700MW).  There are a bunch of other ones at about 200MW each.

has some 2003 data.  It's doubled since then, with Japan increasing market share compared to the US and europe, and China entering the market.  The US, which used to be 80% of world PV manufacturing only 15 years ago, is now down to 10 or 15%.
