That is definitely possible!
I had thought of clamping the old commutator end of this armature - actually welding it - to the mount. Then preparing a round can with a double bearing on the outer end. The can would have 12 magnets in it - let's say half inch wide, by 1 and a quarter long by quarter inch thick.
The armature is already 'decogged' since the laminates are skewed.
The 'can' could possibly be the old heater motor housing.
The blades would mount to the can.
But the output would probably be pretty small - it would be fun though!
I am currently testing a 1.5 hp induction motor conversion - and yesterday I just about broke a sweat carrying my new (free) Baldor 10 hp 4 pole 3 phase high efficiency motor up to my shop/office. Good thing it was in pieces - just the stator and housing without the rotor in it weighs 95 lb!
