Thanks for the info, now I am worried about it being a PM motor or not ;) I just assumed that most DC reel motors were, but I will find out when it gets here. I have my eye on a couple of others on ebay just in case. Seems like you can never have too many.

 I have a 5 ft piece of 10 inch pvc that I was going to try the zubbly-woolfer idea on, but i really have not been able to find how much success people have had with those blades. If they don't do well, Jerry will soon be hearing from me. Thanks again for all your help.

If it was ID'ed as a "servo" motor then it should be PM but if the seller got it wrong then it could be a series wound and then you have a problem.
