Hello,

The cost of the genny itself is $757 canadian ($600 US) but it's include the buying of tools like spoke shave and draw knive to carve the blades and a caliper to mesure the thickness of the blades. Also the mould for the stator and the rotors will be reusable.

For the shop tools: An industrial sander and a circular saw for the blades. and for the genny a pressdrill, a chopsaw, a grinder and an arc welding machine.

A friend of mine did the 2 12inches steel disk on a milling machine.

It takes about 3 weeks of part time works to do all the parts.

Thanks

hi cinosh...just home from the bush, and it is nice to see your work..it looks fantastic...that looks like hughs plans to the tee...i have 2 comments i guess, as i have done the same as you have...i would suggest making a spare blade, in case of accidents(which happen), and i also found that danb's 10' blades worked better on my machine than hughs did...i believe they are a little thin (or at least they were in my case)....they did the job, but dans caught more of the slower wind because they were wide all the way down the blade?...just a thought...your genny looks real, real good...pickster

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the comments.
I've just take a look at your website, very interesting.
I think i will live something like you about people who stop at my house to
see what i did. Lot of people asked me to came here to see the setup and a lot of people whant to know more about the construction of the genny. I think is just a start of a big adventure.
