Yeah, it makes sense to me, Ghurd. One thing that impresses me about a PV system is the delicate balance of all the components. You go changing one thing like adding a battery and everything else shifts. I would like to triple or quadruple my battery capacity (currently at 500 AH)one day soon. Of course, then I'll need more panels, a larger load, bigger fuses, larger battery cable.... --Tom

With all that effort, add a couple extra panels more than you need.
But that will mean more batteries! :)
