Hi,
Probably the best thing to do to answer all of your questions would be to purchase a set of plans for Hugh Piggott's Axial Flux turbine. The plans are an excellent source of information and they give step by step instructions for building the turbine. You can purchase the plans directly from Hugh Piggott or we also have them available for sale through our web site. They are well worth buying.

Have I got this right, the axial flux turbine described is a 3 phase or 5 phase system that has an inbuilt rectifier that converts this to DC current.
Is anyone able to say how much these turbines cost to build?
