Hi Bob,

I'm kind of interested in a Diesel that I could run on PPO (Pure Plant Oil) - a guy very near me processes this and sells it - mainly for diesel-->PPO vehicle conversions (using German ELSBETT conversion kits).  Anyway - I'm mostly interested in a Diesel that would happly run an low RPM and produce heat via water [I should say coolent] cooling for [house] heat & also power production as well as being quiet (at least I'm hoping that it would be quiet if it built into its own block shed and had a good excaust).

I think that I might be able to get a UK Lister CS diesel more easily than what you are after (a clone - I'm in Ireland) and I think that I was speaking to someone reciently about a single cylindar Lister - but they said it was air cooled!.

Can you tell me if the Lister [clone or whatever] that you were looking at is based on the popular CS design and did it have water cooling?

Thanks very much - and sorry that I don't know much at all about these engines - only what I've talked to people about.

Derek

check out George's site @

utterpower.com

lots of useful info, and yes there are direct and indirect injection models available, i believe the CS is an indirect injection version.
