Hi wooferhound, This schematic looks bit more useful than the previous one. It's probably covered in detail somewhere else on the board but can someone point out for short where's the catch. Why aren't everyone using it. Ahto [ Parent ]

Too many volt drops in series diodes and to be any use the capacitors have to be monsters ( 20, ooo uf  plus) If you use schottky diodes and don't mind the cost of capacitors it is an alternative to rewinding. Not a first choice for an original winding. Flux [ Parent ]
