If they had used two cars or trucks to box the moose in (one on each side of the moose) then they could have cut it loose without it being able to directly attack its rescuer ? Not sure, never dealt with mooses myself. I've got plenty of trouble just catching escaped bunnies named 'Pluisje'.

They must have a full freezer, as all I could think was 'free meat, no hunting required' :)
