Rockhead;

You really should give credit to the owner of that photo as long as you already said you "borrowed" it.

I can't remember who did it just now but I did find it interesting at the time.

Blade crunchers are just another tool. How someone uses that tool determines its usefulness not the tool itself.

Anyway, don't take me wrong. I think you are wrong wrong wrong about calculators [and by extension, tools in general].

Some guys can make an Uzi with some wire and a welder, others couldn't make a club with an entire shop and access to all possible materials. Can't blame the tools for the users' deficiencies.

Vawt fellow;

Yeah, WilliB I bet thats right.

Funny, folks go and "get a life" occasionally and just leave us dangling.

Hope its nothing serious or anything. He had some interesting postings.

His last post was back around Christmas, looks like:

People drop in then drop out thats very common.

Well, I did but I didn't want to mention his name,for not giving the the impression to want to drag down a person.Wrong.
Willib,thanks a thousend times!!!

"Anyway, don't take me wrong. I think you are wrong wrong wrong about calculators [and by extension, tools in general]."

And what about Willibs blades?If you really think they are right,I'll make you a small model to show what a helix look like.
Lot of work for only illustrating my statement,but I think it's worth the effort,promised.(be patient)

cheers,
jaap

brain;

And what about Willib's blades?

If you read my comment you would have seen I said they looked interesting to me at the time.

Waiting for the hardware and patiently, at that.

I am not much of a builder type so I try to withhold saying much about actual processes.

I think I see where you are going with your idea but do not quite understand your issues with blade calculators. I think folks should use every resource at their disposal to accomplish things, however.

I guess I find it just a little tough to take folks seriously who have certain "odd" nicknames. "Stone Brain" is one of those to me. I know its judging a book by its cover but humans are strange animals.

Here it is.A fun exercice with clay(much faster and easier then 3-D modelling on the computer).Not perfect but it looks a bit like a helix.A perfect wooden version is on my todo-list now.

I you read my posting you should understand what I have against bladecalculators.You don't have to agree with me though.

Yes 'stonebrain' is ridiculous.I'm stuck with it now.
I'm a very serious person though.

kind regards,
Jaap
