Technical abbreviations are not so bad, put pwm into google and you get it on the first hit. Similarly for mppt and other things.

Man's idiosyncrasies are more difficult, it took me years to crack LOL and there are others that I just don't get at all, even RTFM doesn't seem to be that well understood.

There are also differences in name of many things from nation to nation, Amp gauge, ampacity and similar I find strange so many of you may struggle with ammeter. The VOM ( presumably volt-ohm meter) is totally strange to me as we were brought up with an AVO.

Probably a good idea to have a list of common basic technical terms and it would help with other things if people were more specific with information especially where it is related to a manufacturer that may only be known in a local area.
