I called our local sams, they said they did not carry golf batteries.

The best I found were excides 225aH 6V for $90 per. I can't even seem to find those energizers by googling.

My marine deep cycles have been working great so far. I accidentally bought a starting battery and it lasted like 10 minutes before needing recharge. I returned it for another deep cycle.

These things are darned heavy - but at a savings of $30 apiece, you might want to find someone on here who lives semi-close to you and has a Sam's Club nearby that carries them.

Also, never know - the clerk may not have known what they were talking about.

"the clerk may not have known what they were talking about"
My money is on that one... and/or they just don't care.  The guy was just hired after being fired from McD's because of an incident involving pickle quantities?
And online won't show it, because Sam's would look like robbers if they charged what it actually cost to ship a wet battery.

Looks like Wally-World bought the 'Energizer' name long ago for use on golf cart type batteries.
Just like k mart bought the names white and westinghouse.  Call k mart and ask about a 1940's tube that was obsolete before his parents were born.

Remember, you know more about this stuff than he does,

That sounds bad.  I didn't intend it that way.

Maybe call and ask "How Many" #1194 they have in stock?
Like "#1194 ENER GC2", and if they still cost $68.87 each, if the new $9 core charge is in effect, like you saw online.

Maybe that will get his attention.
