Guys see if you can find an interstate dealer near you.  They will have what they call blimished batteries.  These are new batteries however the cases are deformed.  They sell them at the Tampa, FL interstate dealer for $35 bucks plus and $18 core charge if you have no core.  I have 10 of them and very pleased thus far.

I bet the factory is near you!
They won't ship them for that price.

yes that is you pick up.  But if you buying 10 or 20 the drive may be worth it even at $3.50 a gallon.

I called my local Interstate batt dealer a couple weeks ago about that.
He told me the cost of the U2200 'scuffed up'  battery is $60 plus $15 core.
He said they rarely ever get them. So I guess those dealerships must vary from place to place.
Instead I just got the new Energizer GC2 6v golf cart batts (220AH ea) at Sammy club ($67 ea) like others here.  They have the one year full replacement warranty at least.
They are quite heavy without a carry strap , so better do some exercises before hefting them in and out of the trunk.  I forgot and strained my back.
The batteries are doing great though.

Yes that's an advantage being in Florida.  Lots of golf carts equal lots of batteries.  Still $67 is not bad at all plus you get the warranty!  (on 30 days on these)  The interstate store in Tampa FL (About an hour and 1/2 from my home had 40 instock.

Where in tampa is the interstate dealer? I'm in Parrish all next week and haven't been able to find blems in Atlanta. Sure would be nice to get some while here. Even tried to get the l-16's but thet don't stock them. The sales man said they never have anyone ask for  them. Really doesn't suprise me though cause haven't seem any RE up there except on my own roof.

Z, Thanks address. I'm doing the low volt at the new Post office. Pulling out Wed. afternoon for West Palm, but will be back next month to trim if the schedule holds. Look me up if you have a chance.
