Why on the positive cable?
don't voltage run postive to negative but amperage run negative to positive?

I'm asking because I've got my analogue ammeter on my negative cable.....and now I'm wondering if I hooked it up wrong.....

Conventional current runs Positive to Negative.
Electrons run Negative to Positive.

The current in the Positive cable should be the same as the current in the Negative cable.

It doesn't matter which cable you install the meter on as long as the meter polarity is correct in regards to the cable polarity.

I hope that is clear
