I'm not starting on load...don't know where that came from.

I've been thinking about this a little more, the 8 bit adc is not needed, 4 comparators, 20ish resistors, and 4 potentiometers will get you 15 load points.

in effect this is analogue look up table, with one stipulation, the next load must be greater than the first

there will be no load until the voltage of the mill is greater than the first comparators voltage.
