Undermining your own credibility ruins even the most sincere and thoughtful message. I know it was accidental on your part, but it's too late now. A little caution on the reader's part is necessary when people write in their second language, but that didn't come into play, here.

Since you have Kurt's attention, maybe ask politely to delete the thread and start again on a better foot.
