Dear vawtman, I am still learning, and I live in a desert, but I hope to someday live in snow country.

There have been several long threads about wood heating, and I seem to remember that having a separate shack (25' away) burns twice as much wood (as opposed to a Franklin stove in your living room), with the horrible characteristic of causing lots of building fires.

I don't understand it, but, what do you think you will be doing for heat now?

Hi Spinnin
I've got several gallons of waste oil saved up.I think that route would be next.I'm not sure how they rate them UL or whatever.
I guess i could build the turbine 50ft tall and flick a switch when i get home.

I prefer to shy away from that for now.LOL

Your welcome up if you want to explore.

 Thanks
  Mark
