Hi woof - yes that is usually the case, I'm not sure it's always the case for this particular machine though.  I could be wrong, but I think the big jacobs machines do come with blades varying quite a bit in size and I think the only difference between them is the rated output, the blade diameter, and the inverter (I think... ).  I dont think the generator, or the gearing is different in them (which does seem a bit odd)
