I would agree with others on the blades. There will be a force across the blades pushing them back, and strength in the axis of the wind direction is needed. The blade with the knot is effectively the same as a much thinner piece of wood in that axis at the point of the knot and will likely snap at that location. Interesting tiltback frame. Rich
