hi flux. thanks again for the advice.
your last words were . CONFUSED NOW.I BET YOU ARE.
no it is clear as a bell now.
only now i am beginning to understand it all. and thats reading the
reply you have put to others questions.
as well as others who have helped explain things to us who are only learning.
in another post i asked about cut in speed. aprox rpm at prop.
you gave me a good answer . i have worked it out .
not a poor wind. not great winds. so have gone for a 220 rpm at prop.
with a six foot prop 8 mags. 2x1x1/2 n42.
and six coils with about 55 turns of 2 in hand 16awg.
now if i could only get my lathe to turn at 220rpm life would be great.
this mill has gone from one rotor to two rotors.
the stator is now no good.
but i did have a great day today running it with a bench motor.
first at 12volt dc. thats with twin rotors fixed.
with just one rotor it wouldent reach cut in till about 550 rpm(to high)
then again with two batteries for 24 volts.
at 12 volt it was stalling hard.
at 24 much better .
this is a stator i made before .
this stator cant be used for much. as it would need mags.
maybe i can nail it to the wall as a bit art or sumthing.
but it was great fun watching it at work .
i will post a few pics of the work done so far.
thanks again flux.
its a ill wind that dos no good
