Perhaps jimjjnn was a little too subtle, but I think he's questioning the validity of your claim that the sun is destructive to solar components.

I feel the sun will overheat the invertors to the point of low or no output from heating. I have seen many circuits overheat in research robots fail from heat. We had to install the electronics in an outer enclosure to prevent this.
