Thanks for all the comments.

Yes, both turbines are fully stainless steel except for the magnet rotors.

Heat dissapation is something I have considered. I took care to see how Hugh did it as shown in the photograp[hs in his 2005 book.

The usual heat transfer compound will be used between all mating surfaces, and I deliberately aligned the heat sink fins to be facing into the wind direction. I would like to try the concept and see what happens first.

If heat is a problem then I shall remake a new box and align it horizontally so that I can space out the rectifiers.

Not shown is a yet to be fitted stainless heat shade to be fitted over the rectifier box. Stainless steel gets very hot in tropical sunshine.

Please watch out for more photographs which show:-

How to lock up all the nuts and bolts, and,

An innovation on the yaw bearing arangement.

David HK,

Air flow around the rectifiers is insignificant to the heat transfer in the metal.
All about surface area for cooling.

When currents are high, will have lots of wind to cool the rectifiers down.
More important to keep water off the wiring.

As a guess, the assembly can handle 200-300 watts in a 20MPH wind.

Have fun,
Scott.
