Unless thats a duel lane highway I'd be more concerned about the drive who apears to be passing so close to a crest:)

both those lanes go the same direction in the united states they always use a yellow paint for dividing opposing lanes  and white paint to divide lanes going in the same direction. usually anyway

I noticed you guys down under use different paint colors for some of the line markings.  I nearly walke out in front of a couple cars looking the wrong way as well down there, BTH had to keep me looking to my right before crossing in Australia and Fiji both, and being a bit absent minded didn't help me much.  I bet you lose a few tourists each year that way.  As Kurt pointed out, the white dashed paint and the yellow line to the left indicate that both lanes travel the same way in the photo here in the U.S. Rich
