Truth be known I have a lot lint stored up, a few more lengthy pauses and I can knit a sweater. If it is better, than no more lint.

sokay I can't knit anyway

Many users have no access to high speed, even if they wanted it.

Many are 100% off-grid without a land line and pay by the MB.

One user has a 2kb land line connection on a good day (he lives on an island).

My shop is off grid with no available access to cable or DSL, and trying to get a 1MB data sheet with intermittent 14kbs is a very trying experience.

IMHO, a 50K pic should show all the detail necessary, and more.

Example.  58K pic, and I can see which screw heads are messed up.

I recall a post a while ago that had about a dozen 10MB pics with crazy dimensions.

I thought my computer was locked up, and I have cable internet.

The new software corrects the size of the display, but apparently if the pic is 10MB, it downloads all 10MBs.

Hi,

I think if you can then I think that you should (permanent, 301) redirect the old (article and user-info) URLs to the new ones on this board so that (a) all old links in here aren't broken from external sites, Google, etc, and internally when people have referred to previous items and (b) you don't force all the search engines to spider all 10 billion pages from scratch which will probably load up your server more than you want...

I've posted several topics in the controls section over the years but I see there is only a total of 10 posts on the new board. Does this mean that some stuff ended up in the wrong place or is it lost.

Last week for example I was asking if anyone fancied doing an analysis of my turbine and weather station log files from the last year but I can't find the thread at all now!!

Cheers

It is the case that a lot of stuff in 'controls' did not come through with the migration.  We may get that in... only if we can figure out how to do it without losing everything that's been done since the migration.  (that is the problem)  Well see!
If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.
