Just getting started on the basics.

None of the links in this post work.  I have tried several times and on different days, but to no avail.

Do they need to be updated?

Sometimes links as old as those will no longer work because either there has been a server change or the file has been deleted

Let me rephrase.  Just getting started.  Since these links do not work, is there a way to read these articles at a different link?  If not, do you guys have something similar that has replaced them.

My main point being "just getting started."  I could spend hours and days asking questions and waiting for answers, some of which I have seen can be a little less than helpful ("You should read this or that post..."  I would rather gain a little knowledge first and then ask some questions, which, hopefully won't fall into the "that's so obvious it doesn't merit a serious response" category.

Thanks
