Steam power generator?
« on: March 14, 2016, 02:07:05 PM »

I have given up on doing wind power. It takes too much energy to build a tower etc.

So I am researching steam power now. I saw a web page about building a large alternator like for wind.

If I could find one like this generator, unfortunately they did not mass produced them: Phillips MP1002CA Stirling generator of 1951 using a Stirling steam engine. Maybe a "reversed Stirling engine"?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirling_engine

I saw this page about an engine that wobbles way to much. Doesn't it look like it will fly apart? Green steam engine

Is there a book about using steam to generate electricity??

Maybe plans to build a small steam powered generator?

Here is a project http://www.otherpower.com/steamengine.html biased on that.

I have another engine design that might be viable with much greater efficiency it is a flash steam engine. I run the dam thing with whole kernel corn. Theres a lot on the website (my) www.flashsteam.com that's going to be updated.

I have 100 injector valves under manufacturing now they are 12 volt. I include the solid-state switching array (no sparks when switching). also a water pump to cool the solenoid windings.

Steam is not cheap and its a lot of work. that engine that shakes to pieces I am familiar with. The novelty of that engine is its water lubricated which anyone can be done easily. Or is that the one with the flex shaft?

Stay in there and do more research.

Looks like all energy generators are out of our price range, except a large gasoline engine. But my land lord keeps killing them.
