I had great fun with this contest. It started out as a discussion on "Failure".


Through out the years I have failed on many, many projects. Scott told me once, "You could post every week for a year and not scratch the surface of what you have." Too true. Yet, a project can fail.


This does not make you a failure.


This is a saying of mine that I have used all my life, "If you first don't succeed give up and start something else". I am not going to "duck" the answer. You have till midnight, then I will post the answer and tell you the Winner. Last clue #3: Someone is very close to the answer. 80 points. Joe.

I was thinking of making a matrix; horizontally all the countries of the world, vertically the years 1900-2000. X-marks in each box. The right answer should be somewhere in that table, I suppose?


The things people will do to become the new owner of that beautiful piece of engineering...

Not so dear oz.Spam was a major food source back in the day for the troops.My number52 came from Joes last hint and could even be canada of the same year.Somebody had to do something with all those cans maybe it was the start of the recycling era.Give her a shot ......vawtman. Hint i wasnt around then thank god.If i was i would have made vawt blades out of them LOL

Paya of spain, 1946 (he resumed production after the war) and the ones made in 1927 had green heads so maybe this one was made after the war????

Ok, on the first picture under the wing a small D.R.G.M can be seen. On the other side this is what it looks like,.

Built between 1945-1947, It is tough but. The best answer came from (Gary D.) Also (Powerboy) is runner up. Thanks for the fun.

lest put this in simple terms


1x1=1

1/1=1
1x1=1
1/1=1
1x1=1
1-1=0

now for most of you you must of missed the -1
so the correct answer would be 0
