Leaves for fuel ?
« on: October 09, 2004, 06:53:33 PM »
I know a lot of you must have thought of this,

but what if you were to pulverize leafs while

they were dry or even have a windmill to operate

a dryer to tumble dry and then run them through

a mill just like making flour.

Have you ever noticed what a pile of dry

leaves look like after being run over by a couple

hundred cars?

Remember the old coal burning stokers? Seems like they were pretty efficient ..the pulverized coal was pushed up underneath the fire and preheated to its combustion temperature...meanwhile you had a blower giving the fire plenty of air to burn the fuel completely.

Now if you filled the hopper full of pulverized leaves or dry sawdust adjust the stoker feed and controls for burning pulverized leaves instead of coal ....
