Some pic's for our Hydro friends
« on: April 29, 2005, 10:36:28 PM »
Near a small town "Hearts Content" a small 2459Kw Hydro plant

a pipe ran down a large hill where a stream used to be

the pipe looked like it was made of wood wraped with tention rings. It was under pressure as I could see sqirts of water comming out.

Then about 10 mile down the road in New Chelsea was a simular 3725Kw plant.

This looked like they had just replaced the pipe with a new steel one. I did see a few rings from the old pipe in the bushes.

That darn ocean keep trying to get into my pretty Hydro shots :)

out of the plant

and out to sea...next stop Ireland

Well I hope that didnt waste to much of your time....

Little hydro plants like that can be beautiful. I unfortunantly though, visited one in Tennessee that discusted me. A river a few hundred feet wide, just empty for miles. Nothing but trash and stagnanting water in puddles on the river bead.

Good to see a nice setup though.

thanks
