need a little help
« on: October 26, 2009, 09:44:30 AM »
I have a salvaged Klinge generator (a marriage of an Isuzu 32 hp diesel to a Fidelity 15kw generator).  Outback inverter rejected power and I found that it was because the voltage had changed.  Knowing nothing, I looked around.  Nothing.  Engine still at 1800 rpms.  Herz at 60.  Just the volts.  Read manual on Fidelity and it suggests bridge rectifiers and diodes.  But the damn Klinge is a fixed frame with the goodies jammed in.  I can't even get the metal box at the gack of the genset open to look at the guts.  Frame's in the way.  Anyone know how to 'break into' a Klinge?  And, if you do, then what do I do?
