No more Rants and Opinion this is now the REVIEWS section
« on: July 08, 2009, 04:33:28 PM »
Hi everyone --

We got lots of feedback about the need for a "Reviews" section on this board.

So here it is!

Use it to review any product or service that is related to renewable energy, and for reviews of the merchants that sold it to you. The good, the bad, the ugly, all reviews are welcomed and will be of great use to readers worldwide.

I'll be kicking it off shortly with a review of the Earth4Energy E-book which many of you have complained about.

I guess one last opinion then, sorry to see this go. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more "off topic" again in the regular postings and comments. Rants and opinions sure was a good place for the debated and opinionated. Too bad,  Dave B.

Just wondering - Is there a reason that there can't be both? :)

The size of the project matters not.

I have a small question;

When reviewing for renewable energy, does this mean the whole spectrum? or related to specifics?

I'm not trying to rock the boat here at all , just trying to get a feel for what we can & cannot post about.

Main reason: I have purchased and even in a small way or two helped more than one book out there.

However, they are on fuel (alky)(bioD) not wind and such.

I have no vested interest in these books getting good or bad reviews, other than getting the myths shown for what they are. I have paid in full for the books I have read and or helped add to.

thoughts? guide lines?

As long as it is related to renewable energy, it's fine, Bruce. Alky, biodiesel, etc. are A-OK.

As far as Rants and Opinion -- the moderation rate was very high. Flame wars were common. And so on.

ADMIN;

   Thanks for the clarity. I agree, on the flame wars. Even I got caught up in them a few times and decided it's was no longer worth my time to argue. Time better spent on testing NiCds:)

Nice write up on the on-line e-book!!

I can't fathom how much money, time agravation you'll have saved people qwith just this one review already.

Cheers!
