RE: Solar Module Inefficiency
« on: October 28, 2005, 07:36:52 PM »
Well boys, looks like I'll be forced to eat some crow.  Baked, fricasseed, fried; any suggestions?  Don't know the best way to bring out the flavor in the old bird.  May have to eat feathers and all.

The weak point in my solar system is the mppt amp meter.  It is off by about 50%.

There are two PW750 80 watt modules.  These are Matrix modules built in the US.

Module 1   19.20 open circuit voltage   3.65 amps per dam     mppt amp meter 1.9 amps

Module 2   19.38   "    "       "       3.89 amps  "   "        "   "    "   2.1 amps

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.  Also thanks for the mild rebukes from several of you.

Well, every time I had to eat CROW, when I put my 4 feet in my mouth, I end up Bar-b-q-ing the Crow, at least this way they have some taste after wards.

Now, blame the meter, HECK find some excuse !!

Kudu;

Well, if you haven't already, you should post this "retraction" to your original story so anyone reading that one will know it was a user error and not bad panels.

Just to be fair.

Cheers.
