Zubbly a question please.

You cleared up somes questions up for me thanks.

And I think I've gathered from your answers that star voltage is 1.73 X delta voltage

and delta voltage is 58% of star voltage. Is this correct?

DELTA VOL * 1.73 = STAR vol

STAR VOLT * 0.578 = DELTA VOL

Also

(STAR VOL)1.73 = DELTA VOL

CURRENT

(Delta I )
1.73 = Star I

Star I * 0.578 = Star I

Also

(Delta I ) / 1.73 = Star I

Therefore 1/1.73 = 0.578

or 1/0.578 = 1.73

hi jerry!

basically yes.

Nando has nicely listed the simple formulas in his reply here.

The otherpower software did "erase" part of the formulas

DELTA VOL * 1.73 = STAR vol

STAR VOLT * 0.578 = DELTA VOL

Also

(STAR VOL) / 1.73 = DELTA VOL - Corrected

CURRENT

(Delta I ) / 1.73 = Star I - Corrected

Star I * 0.578 = Star I

Also

(Delta I ) / 1.73 = Star I

Therefore 1/1.73 = 0.578

or 1/0.578 = 1.73

ONE OF THESE DAYS I will be able to learn all the "quirks" that the site software has.

Hi Zubbly,

Quick motor candidate question.  New/Old stock GE 1/3HP, 3 phase, 50/60HZ, 220V, 3450/2850 RPM, 3 wires exit the motor case (no J-box), 6" x 3.75" dia. (US$12.50!)

Old enough GE has no data.

That is a single speed, correct?

Using the factory wiring, it needs 4 magnet poles?

Any hope for it?

Low amps, high volts- I know.  :/

Thanks,

G-
