Dimensions Unlimited
« on: May 22, 2005, 06:12:34 PM »
Just found at the dump a Dimensions 48 volt 2100 watt output inverter, opened it up all looks fine inside. Hooked it up to batteries and Ac charge line and it shows no indication of power at all.  I was wondering if anyone is familiar with these as it has a remote hook-up which is not with it and if these lines have to be shorted for the onboard function to work?

Thanks for any ideas.

Dumb question, but did you check the fuses?  :)

If you found it at the dump and it doesn't work I think you'll find it could of had a voltage spike on the input. That would blow all the output fet's and render the unit useless. Or you could contact the maker and get a quote on repairing it. I blew my 1700 watt inverter the same way and it cost $165 to repair, lucky my inverter was made in Oz and I got to talk with the bloke that made it.
