Best grease for battery connections?
« on: May 23, 2010, 11:57:27 AM »
What is the best grease to prevent terminal corrosion?  I've heard of Ox-Guard.  Is Vaseline okay to use?  All thoughts and inputs are appreciated.

Vaseline is perfectly acceptable.
It doesn't need to be thick, what you want is to make sure everything is completely covered.

I have used vaseline for years on traction battery connections or you could use motorcycle chain lube spray it also works well and is easy to apply. On the other hand for cleaning a corroded connection it is hard to beat plain hot water.
