Thanx a lot :-)

We are planning to give courses like Hugh does in Scottland so we are looking out for a good location right now. There are so manny folks interested in axial flux alternator wind turbines but scared to get started.

It doesn't help that the price of some neos have gone up almost 250% in the past few months.  Magnets I bought for $4.39 USD in November are now more than $10

Ouch.

Oh well, it must be the golden rule- "He who holds the gold makes the rule"

Thats true :-(

Luckily I have plenty of magnets in stock, probably enough for another 50 alternators :-)

...and things will get worse :-( but that applies to professionals as well as us home brewers...

looks like neo's have out performed gold over the last year or so!

not sure i would have liked to have stockpiled 10k bucks worth however

thinking it might not be healthy to have that many tesla on hand ;)

i bought 128 little magnets last month, round, 3/8"x1/4".
the price from venders here in Canada is about 400% of the prices listed in magnets for less.

I have 100 N50 1" diameter by 1/2" thick that I landed from magnet4less on e-bay some years back for $1 each and 32-2" diameter by 1" thick I got for 10$ each. I never figured them as a investment but that is what the Dan's site said. "Magnets are a good investment".
