They will ship when another 600 panels are ordered. I'm going to order 3 on Monday. The office is in Miami.

Sun's shipping rates make up for the low prices.

The shipping cost does not increase a lot as the number of panels goes up, thus the shipping cost per panel goes down.  When I got panels from them some months ago I shared the order with a local friend, that reduced the shipping cost for both of us.

Hmm, I now got the email about the same "deal" it seems.  Noticed that these panels are rated 170W, Vmp 35, Voc 44, Isc 5.  That's an unusually high voltage - 72 cells, like 2 "12V" panels in series built into one.  With many MPPT controller types you'd need to wire them in parallel rather than series - and forget using a non-MPPT controller, unless you are running a 24V or 48V system.  I suppose they would be OK for a large system with a fancy high-voltage controller.  And yes, minimum "1 pallet" whatever that means.  Given that many other types of panels are available for about $1/watt in small quantities, this is not such a great deal.

Pallet is usually 18 to 22 although I have seen ranges from 3 to 60 before. It usually depends on the panel physical size.

many, many, many  folks run offgrid 24 and 48v systems, and these panels would be great for them.  they would also be great for GT systems where the inverters handle high voltage via series strings.

the pallet at a time thing is a bummer though...

Yikes! I just now read the part about the 1 pallet min order. Maybe I could sell the rest on craigslist or get a local group buy going.

One pallet is 20 panels and shipping to my zip code is $678. With shipping each panel would be $170. Is there anyone in Wyoming around the Gillette or Douglas area interested?

Wow, that was fast. They've already sold out.
