Dehydrator ver. II

The cardboard box dehydrator has processed about 5 batches of veggies and 1 batch of bread for crumbs, it does indeed work, but was a bit on the small side for what I want.

Today I built another, this is 1x4 pine sides, 1 1/2" x 3/4" oak underneath the aluminum framed glass panel (picture frame and glass), a coroplast bottom. Size is 20"Lx16"Wx5"D

Two 1.8W 12v fans.



night lights for the kitchen as well after dark  ;)



Better cookie sheets for drying racks



A lot of fun, plus getting some stuff dried for winter soups and stews

Very pleased, this morning



24 hours a day now, perhaps not a "solar dehydrator", but, being powered by the sun through pv and battery - a humid climate work around



all for now, on to the next project
