Manual tracking small pv
« on: October 11, 2014, 06:55:34 PM »
Worked in the garden today (actually garden has ended, just cleaning up) and decided I would do a manual tracking experiment while I was outside with a new cheapie watt meter.

CHEAP DC watt meter, it was like $12 or $13 off of epay.

2 Radio Shack 9v, 112ma panels hooked in series to charge a older 12v 9ah battery (from epay as well)

end results when I pulled the plug.

12.45Vm (initial voltage)
4.4Wp (wow!)
1.642Ah
21Wh
0.34Ap (wow again!)

Volt meter showed 13.03 voltage battery terminals at the end of the "experiment"

seems like these panels are better than advertised, or the little meter is optimistic?
