Welcome.

There's quite a bit of information on furling (folding tail) designs, if you google that here.  It's passive and fairly simple (in concept anyway).  Or, pick up one Hugh Piggot, or Dan Bartman's books on homebuilt turbines.

If you mean blade pitch, there is also some discussion on that here as well.  Well not passive, midwoud1 (Frans) has done quite a lot with pitch control:

Welcome.

I have an active pitch controlled windgenerator.

Many photos exchanged on this thread (despite some old ones that are now lost)

Including the passive pitch-control that Frans started with!
No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

If this is your first diy windturbine, the best info is like Kitestrings said , the books of Hugh Piggott or Dan Bartman .
There you have all the dimensions and materials you need.
Clear explanation how to build .
Furling tail windmills , Later make a passive control hub on it.

@ Sparweb . I lost videos on Youtube by a mistake, pushed a wrong button.
                   New upload will follow.

I think most experienced builders would consider that very good advice.  As a newbie, I bought two of Hugh Piggot's books and spent a huge amount of time reading this forum the last few weeks. Quite an education!    http://scoraigwind.co.uk/      http://www.otherpower.com/20page1.html   http://www.amazon.com/dp/0981920101/ref=cm_sw_su_dp#customerReviews
