welding and neos

Does arch welding pose any problems to the magnets on an axial?  I'm not planning anything directly on the magnet rotors, but I was wondering if I were to weld on the yaw tube if I need to be concerned with breaking things down first (removing the alternator).

Within reason, the only thing you'll be able to do is heat them above 80C or 180F.

However weld spatter could puncture the nickel-copper-chromium? coating, and that will cause corrosion to set in, so be sure to cover the magnets with something
