freezing pipes/portable hot water heater?

So at my remote cabin here in Ontario, I pump water up to a holding tank in the summer. Then the cabin is gravity fed from there. But it's always a pain in the winter to drain the pipes and try to figure out how to take a shower with no running water. I'm only there every few weekends in the winter due to the access being a pain as well.  Been thinking about getting one of those portable hot water heaters with a built in pump. Anyone have any experience with them? Would love some hands on reviews

I used one of those Coleman portable water heaters for years when I catered BBQ. It finally died last year after 10+ years of use. https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Demand-H2Oasis-Portable-Heater/dp/B01C7HF0NU I need to order parts for it. I had the older model that is discontinued. Pump went bad and it needs a new battery.

The creek is just so much simpler. Lol.  It sure knocks the wind out of you when it hits the chest though. I'd fallen through the ice a few times when I used to be a trapper. So I knew to brace for it. Lol but it's still a shock!

I'd probably eliminate using the little green bottles in the water heater. And use an adapter to the cabin propane supply.
