Hi Allan, looks like a "Southern Cross" windmill tower ? Looks like Aussie bush ? Looks like a concrete mixer I lost ? he he. What's the output and does it start in light winds ? Bruce.

Ok guys /gals yes it is South West OZ an old Dunlite 32v 750W generator. Tower height 40 feet, needs to be 60 feet or curt down some trees so I will extend it, oh Not another project, I can just hear it. I use it to charge a 24V bank, it has 2.5 gear up, is about 60 years old, the only noise is the brushes on the commutator, agreate seen to wake up to. I pulled it down in a felorn condition and referbished it, had new blades made, they are sheet metal on an aluminuim spider. Puts out is around 10A in the sea breze to 50+ in strong winds, it's so overbuilt its virtually indestructable last winter we had the stronges wind for this part of QZ I can remember and it just made electricity, occasionally furled a little as it yawed, naturally I had furling set to max. I have aquired another that I have to refurbish and plan to raise on a gyed 85 foot tower as a comparison complete with origional owners manual, probally befor increasing height of this one. The second on has blades (4of) which are paralell with a contour on face as opposed to the shaped ones in this pic. I would welcome advice of what others see as best profile. regard Allan
