Formula page

Good idea or no?

Hey Dans, how about a page for formulas? Such as volts x amps = watts and the energy in a given area of wind at a given speed, that kind of thing? Maybe tack it onto the FAQ's page. Or put it on your page(It is yours, right? Kinda has the same flair and the link to Wondermagnet.) at Metricsucks.com. I'm sure the people on the board here could compile the list of formulas and probably write the explainations as well.

That is a very ugly page with a very ugly name !!!

A few days ago i recieved my magnets from the magnet shop..... Some day i will be able to contribute with something more and better than stupid comments about that strange system of units.

Demetri,

I think this would be a great addition. Folks who have used those formulas may forget what a dark art some of this stuff can represent for others.

Not only Ohm's Laws, but many other formulas would be helpful.

Demetri;

Its not a page packed with formulae but I have a conversion script on my pages that I hijacked from somewhere on the net.

http://oneota.com/~earthsourcepowr/math/conversion.php

I'm new to php but do intend to build some more useful pages in time. Math is definitely not my field and neither is php scripting so don't hold your breath waiting.

Cheers.

A page for ohms law and power calcs (none / 0) (#4)

Here is a page that handles the usual electrical calculations we run into as well as displays the actual formula used.:

http://oneota.net/~earthsourcepowr/math/electricalc.php

I found it online so its not my work but it does work pretty nice.

Cheers.

I was suggesting a formula's page to help newbies figure their own problems, instead of asking the board math questions; also be a good reference for us(Even though I ask the board questions that I could solve myself given enough research; hopefully posting it helps someone else.). This post serves just as well, thanks everyone for the great pages.
