| The electricity around here flickers on and off about every week. Solid state devices in general and computers in particular, don't like all that voltage fluctuation. That's one of the reasons I make some of my own electricity. We charge our laptops from the battery bank, rarely from the grid.
So here's the question, if my laptop is plugged into the battery bank, and the battery bank is being charged by the grid because it's been cloudy for a month, does the battery bank offer some protection from spikes and surges? I do run the charger from a surge protector, but I want to know if that is overkill.
This board has some of the best minds in the country, and I can't wait to hear the opinions as I am stumped.
Best Regards,
