Biggest in North America

We here in Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest province, will soon be able to boast the largest wind turbine in North America.

Vestas - CWT (Canadian Wind Technology Ltd.) is installing a new 3.0MW turbine at the Atlantic Wind Test Site in North Cape, to be up and running by Sept. 2003.
The v90 (90m diameter blades) is 125m tall, and the cost of the project is $990,000.

Wow! That is big. I used to hang out around the MOD 2 here in Washington state when they put them up many years ago. They made me feel small to stand beside them but this one is 1/3 larger in power!
