Wanted a rear wheel drive 4 cylnder diesal in NH

I am trying to find a 4 cylnder diesal form a pickup or rear wheel drive vechile in Nh for cheap money, vechile condition does not matter, I only want the engine for my next generator project. If anybody knows where I can get oen cheap or has one I can have please email me @ bearfalconer@hotmail.com. I can come pick it up, please no junk diesals, I need a good running engine. Actually I think your best bang for the buck would be from a Mercedes 240D. About 65hp and dead stupid simple to work on. There are lots of them in New England. As a matter of fact thats what I drive.
Last summer I sold a 300TD which is a 3.0l turbo charged maybe 90hp car for $200. It needed a headgasket but would have lasted a long time in your application. The bodies on these cars rot long before the engine is out of commission.

I would also like to build a dc genny from a diesel engine. Check on ebay for cheap part cars.

Why does it need to be rear wheel drive vehicle if you need only the engine? Is it because you want to keep the trany on?
