Otherpower ADMIN offline due to Satellite Failure

The IA-7 satellite is lost, and cannot be repaired......"unknown electrical failure"

We will not be able to answer email or use the baord for an unknown period of time due to the loss of the satellite....We know there are a bunch of inquiries pending regarding logins, passwords, and other board issues; We won't be able to answer them for an unknown period of time. Thankfully TomW is always around to keep postings in order on the board ;~)
Hopefully we'll be back up soon; Starband's offer of a free dial-up connection doesn't help us much since the nearest phone line is 12 miles away....

"unknown electrical failure"

I guess Intelsat should have gone with one of this site's windturbine designs instead of solar ;-)

Well, good luck anyway and I hope your connection gets back up soon.

Smiles innocently,

Uknowww if the satellite is out, then it really wouldent matter if there were windmills involed, since there's no air in space... in such a case solar would infact be best. Its really to bad most likely a 5 dollar fuse took-out the whole frikinggg satellite. anyhow, I bet its not much consolation to the DAN'S, anyway, since the nearest land line that could offer free back up service is 19 miles away. Guess that's the reason one would get starband in the first place. Just wondering when the Dan's will get fieldlines/otherpower withdraw? :) okay so its like a day and a half now.

The tower might be problematic.
